James Mocera, CPA, MST
Jim has over 35 years of public accounting experience specializing in accounting, auditing, and tax services to primarily small and medium sized companies with an emphasis on manufacturing, distribution, construction, service-oriented companies and not-for profit entities. Prior to co-founding Mocera, Visconti & Company CPAs LLP, Jim was a partner with a regional accounting firm for over five years after merging an accounting firm he had co-founded. In addition, Jim spent seventeen (17) years with large international accounting firms serving medium sized, owner-managed business, both domestic and foreign owned, in a wide variety of industries. He was partner with the international accounting firms of KMG Main Hurdman and KPMG.
Jim received his Bachelors of Science degree in accounting in 1973 from the University of Bridgeport, Bridgeport Connecticut and received his Masters in Taxation from Bentley College, Waltham, Massachusetts, in 1984. Jim has served as co-chairman and treasurer of various not-for-profit organizations in Massachusetts and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants.
